Acupuncture Cupping Therapy in London

What is Cupping?

Cupping has been practised for thousands of years for the treatment of disease and pain. It is a form of acupuncture that focuses on the movement of blood, energy and body fluids, such as lymph - which circulates around the body's tissues.

The London Acupuncture Space has undergone intensive training in Acupuncture, Fertility Acupuncture and Obstetrics Acupuncture with Zita West and at the Royal College of Physicians in London. We are Members of the British Acupuncture Council.

Key Principles Of Cupping

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) states pain is due to stagnation. This stagnation can be a result of injury or stress. Cupping is believed to stimulate flow of blood, and lymph to the affected area. The heat of a naked flame inside a glass cup creates a vacuum on the skin. The cups can be left in a static position or can slide over muscle groups to relieve tension and pain.

Cupping has also been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, ease stretch marks and improve varicose veins.
